As a community advocate, Donna Pearson McClish's mother asked a very critical question:
Donna Pearson McClish was raised to think on one simple question,
”What if the grocery store closed? How would you eat?”
In 2014 Common Ground Producers and Growers Mobile Market was born out of that question asked by her mother.

In 1968, Robert Charles and Addie Williams Pearson purchased a 40-acre urban farm in Wichita, Kansas. Robert (Mr. Bob as he was called), was an avid farmer and Addie was a community advocate. They moved to the farm to continue raising twelve children in a safe environment of learning to thrive in adversity. Now, 55 years later, David and Donald Pearson’s farm the land is still thriving. Some crops are grown every year; however, new and different crops are added each year. The produce farmed are Okra, corn, purple hull peas, mustard greens, collard greens, squash, zucchini, yellow squash, turnips, and many others. The Common Ground Mobile Market was born from the legacy of Robert and Addie Pearson.
